Design and materials
Heat-resistant glass takes freshly boiled water and shows you everything: the leaf unfurling, the liquor darkening. That is the most reliable way to judge a steep without a timer, and the fastest way to learn a new tea — watch how long a white tea takes to open compared with a rolled oolong and you stop needing to guess. Food-grade silicone seals it; a stainless steel frame holds it. Glass also holds no flavour at all, so nothing carries between teas.
What it suits
Both ends of tea drinking: a single generous cup at your desk, or enough to pour for two or three. At 400 ml, use about 4–5 g of leaf.
Care
